My sci-fi comic (Gifts of wandering ice) has novosaurs – birds with artificially reactivated ancestral traits like teeth, claws on wings, long tails, etc. Atlanteans keep them as pets. A typical novosaur is as smart as a parrot and can mimic a wide range of sounds: from fire alarm to human speech.
