The Mask

Put it on, you’ll be ok

Each and every day

Sitting there watching me

I no longer feel free

In this mask

On the road it’s now trash

Not like cans taken for cash

Pollute the land fabric and band

Trapped in a mask

There’s another faceless face

Such an utter disgrace

Walk on by, but paced away

You and I in this mask

Mental health deteriorates

Is this now our fate?

All I want to do is to breathe

Constricted by a mask
