Once an old man lived with his son. But one day his son was found guilty and sent to jail.
The old man had a plot in front of his house in which he grew potatoes. This year it was time to plant potatoes in the plot again, but all the digging and planting had to be done by the old man himself.
His only son was still in jail because the old man couldn’t afford a lawyer to get him out of jail. So one day the old man wrote a letter to his son in prison and told him about the situation.
He wrote in the letter:
I feel bad because this year I won’t be able to plant potatoes in the garden. I don’t want to miss it because your mother always liked it but son is too old to dig a plot for potato gardening.
I wish you were here with me, I know you would have dug the plot for me and all my worries would have gone away.
A few days later the old man received a telegram from his son with his son’s brief reply:
The telegram read:
Dad..!! Don’t dig that plot in front of our house.. That’s where I buried and hid all the guns..!!
The next morning the old man saw FBI agents and the police offices come in front of the old man’s house and dig up the whole plot looking for a gun but no gun was found so they left.
Disturbed by all this, the old man wrote another letter to his son in prison, telling him what had happened.
His son replied:
Dad, go ahead and plant your potatoes.. It’s best that I can help you from here..
Moral: If you’ve set your mind to something, you’ll find a way to do it.Recommend0 Simily SnapsPublished in
