shame all the fathers,

glazed-eyed on their sons,

suffocating their daughters.

shame all the brothers,

breaking the bones of their sisters,

and turning away as he forgot her.

run away daughter,

run away sister,

this place is not for you.

starlight shimmering,

swimming among the moon.

dancing in corridors,

and hiding in rooms.

—even if in the hot rays of the sun,

or in deep monsoons,

women cannot belong in this world,

man will never see too soon.
