Dare to Look Inside Lake

Ice becomes thinner as you peek

is winter coming to an end,

or can imagination

make dents

and cracks

on frozen edge,

leading you to discover

the water trying to break free

of cold embrace?

No longer skating pose,

ready to dive deeper for meaning

once fingertips

brush ice

dreams fly up,

find new windows.

They yearn to play again

after waiting for months

under a cap of ice

no choice left

but to sing

until someone heard them in whispers,

sang tune back

in words that melt frosty snow

bring back happiness

with white clouds,

roses in sunshine

and the violets

meeting enchanted moon

for spirit talks.
