Once Upon a Memory

Glass drops,

breaks in a thousand shards

every glimmer tells you

of moments

you wish you hadn’t lost.

Broken, bent,

taken out of conscience

those memories were part

of who you are.

If you give up,

let them fly to the corners,

stay in twilight

of one remembrance

they will become your ghosts

for life.

Don’t let regrets seep in,

take with you what was gone,

you can find yourself

once again

once upon a love

a long time ago

or just now.

What you have gone through

and the path

you lighted up in passing

stay to remind you of the colors

your soul takes when happiness

lingers on threshold

of home

in spirit of moonlight devotion.
