Where the Rainbow Takes Me
The shades keep growing around me,
I see blue, yellow,
orange specs
as I dive deeper
they turn hazy
after a thousand steps
they’re still a bit ahead
just one more step, a breath
keeps me apart
from golden enchantment,
not touching that one hue
I long to keep at last
the turquoise in becoming
my own tomorrow.
I walk inside the rainbow
seeing again the underworld
I may be above sea
but I look deeper
than the mountains.
The rainbow travels
between hearts,
it raises memories,
the smile
held behind gates that open
to the sound
of joyful laughter.
