The Earth Collapsed

And Shed Its Cloak of Death

The earth collapsed
And its stead
Was quite another place,

Had all been stripped away.

The rules had changed,
Not re-arranged,
And most had been erased,

No longer creed
Would guarantee
Who would now share your fate.

The new earth shed
Its cloak of death
And left its field of clay,

Had come to make its claim,

Disease and pain
Were swept away,
Burned in the timeless flames,

The night recedes
And gently leads
Into eternal day!
