G…

I know I want it

I need to hear you say it

It shall curl around your tongue

It shall be the ivory plaque I am rewarded with

It will be my day when it is uttered

Genius

Genius

G-E-N-ius

such a glorious word

                                     Genius

And when you do

I shall insult myself and what I have achieved

my novels nothing but time passing and multiple fanny jokes

I will play it all down and away

Until the next thing

and the next

Always, there shall be more…

And when I fail and piss off too many people and am long forgotten

I will know I was the genius who farted the world out of his rectum.

Already I am certain it counts for nothing,

but you can’t change an honest dream in full-flow.
