There exist many worlds. Some are ruled by monarchs and tyrants. Some are ruled by the people. Some are ruled by beasts. Some ruled by nature. Above all, no world cannot exist without the divine elements that make up life: Light and Darkness. Such as any story there cannot be one without the other. In this existence, they birth the natural elements to assist in balance among all worlds. Flame, Wind, Aqua, and Earth. The blessings of elements stretch over all the land to give beings their balance, help with their purposes, and give them everlasting life. However, there are those that the elements choose as champions to help guide these worlds as well. These are known as Caliburs, elemental champions of light. As such darkness can also exist within the natural elements. So too do Caliburs exist, there exist the champions of darkness, Nemesis.
First, there is the world of Cale. It is ruled by monarchs and tyrants, which can also be called a land ruled by magic and might. Magic is used to manipulate the elements by will. Three Kingdoms flood the land with conflict and sometimes war over control lands not claimed from either kingdom. There used to exist a fourth kingdom, but due to events, the other kingdoms had to eradicate them. Remnants of their inhabitants roam amongst the others, implanting seeds of their resurrection. Suddenly having the kings and queens brutally murdered from each of the three kingdoms, the balance of the world has shifted. Now the future lies in what the predecessors will do to guide their kingdoms.
Next, there is the world of Lorelai. It is ruled by the people, which more specifically is ruled by those with a specialty. Freelancers are the term for anyone who doesn’t have a specific class. Upon coming of age, all inhabitants are to go through a marking to determine what their abilities will be. There exist a hierarchy that determines where each person may belong, depending on their specialties from these abilities. From governing to the workforce, to technology, to fighting, to almost any basic profession. As such the top of the hierarchy are government and technology, which guide the cities that exist in these lands to futuristic heights. Even if it is called the paradise for advancement, many specialists fight amongst themselves. Underground factions exist to fight against governmental specialists that only bring the high and mighty along with their advancement. Change for all exists by the one who guides all, high or low on the hierarchy, to the future.
Last, there is the world of Dao. It is ruled by beasts, also called a land of freedom and might. Half-human beasts of every animal known to man exist in civilizations of each of the twelve zodiacs. Following under each animal ruler, these beastly inhabitants live separate from one another, each following their method of living their lives. To follow these zodiac rulers is to live by might. Might instill the elements within one’s self, strengthening their physical prowess. There also exist towns and villages that have a combination of different beasts living amongst themselves. These inhabitants exist through freedom: to live by simple and peaceful means, even if it may be temporary at times. However, outside of the twelve zodiac animals exist the lost zodiac. Soon to be resurrected within the world, the twelve rallies against each other to find and conquer this lost zodiac by whatever means. No matter the type of beasts, they live by strength. Whether it is alone or with others.
The ones ruled by nature themselves are the Caliburs and Nemesis. They exist interchangeably, with one of each element on both sides. They are separated from each other and can appear in any world. Through passed down tales of their battles, their abilities, strengths, and feats are known to all who follow them. No matter the circumstance, they are destined to clash amongst one another. The Nemesis exists to guide these worlds to chaos, acting in the will of the darkness within them. The Caliburs exist to fight against this darkness and bring the guidance of light to these worlds. Whatever the fates decide for these worlds, this is the legacy of the Caliburs. Whether it guides them to salvation or destruction, the fate of the worlds will never be the same. They shape to the will of the masters of the elements that will guide them…
Or should they?
Cycles of Caliburs and nemesis have clashed and defeated one another, shaping each of these worlds to their current states. Though each was born and can manifest their powers from a young age, the worlds they are born into in turn shape their being as well. Though it is inevitable for Caliburs to be heroes and nemesis to be villains, their wills and motivations change according to the state of the world. In this story, there exist a new set of young Calibur warriors that exist in each of the lands. Though most of them have grown into their abilities, one Calibur has yet to awaken their full ability or even find their conviction. He sets off on a path to find this meaning, which also leads him to get involved in a treacherous story that intertwines him with the survival of another important individual. Whether it is found through their journey into their world or even if they ever find it at all, somehow this new Calibur will change the future of their incarnations, the other Caliburs and Nemesis, and even the worlds forever…
