    How accurate do you make your stories?

    How accurate to reality do you try to make your stories? Do you spend a borderline obsessive amount of time trying to make sure the gas prices in your 1940s period piece are 100% accurate based on the year, location, and gas company all to make sure that you are as accurate as possible or are you more lax when it comes to story telling and just sort of allow things to happen if they sound interesting without fact checking the information? For me I waver between the two depending on the day. Also do if you are obsessively focused do you have any funny stories about things you only found out about due to falling down research rabbit holes. If you are more relaxed do you have any funny or embarrassing stories about finding out that something you said was incorrect?
