I grew up in Northern Ireland, but moved to England when I married in my mid twenties. I’ve now returned to Ulster in semi-retirement.

I’m a computer scientist by training, but that turned out to be a starting point rather than a destination. I write about technical things on Medium (https://willjmurphy.page) and occasionally stray into economics and even politics.

What I haven’t explored is fiction, so I was delighted when I found out about Simily. My religious upbringing  has given me an interest in spirituality and its value to and effect on people. It doesn’t matter if religion is true in the scientific sense, and I plan to draw my experiences of religion for my fiction.
